Brenda Lacroix has been employed by Adler & McCabe since 1989. She serves as our office manager and personally oversees all financial and trust accounts. She is a graduate of the Lyndon Institute class of 1976 where she was active in student council and served as class president.
Over her many years here, Brenda has developed substantial expertise in handling all aspects of real estate transactions. She directs the firm’s real estate practice and brings her experience to bear in searching titles in town clerk’s offices all over Vermont. Brenda also works to analyze real estate ownership, right of way and boundary disputes. She works frequently with our local Realtors and banks and on behalf of buyers, borrowers, lenders and sellers in connection with the acquisition, sale and financing of residential properties. She has been involved in numerous buy-sell and lender transactions. Brenda understands that buying, financing and selling property can involve unfamiliar issues, and her patience in explaining options to our clients wins her praise as does her skill in demystifying the complex paperwork that accompanies all refinancing and purchase transactions. We often hear how her assistance makes the buying or selling of a home as easy and seamless as possible.
Brenda also assists the attorneys in handling probate matters, where her attention to detail simplifies the preparation of financial accountings and other paperwork required by the probate courts.
Brenda has three adult children and five beautiful grandchildren. She and her husband live in St. Johnsbury. They enjoy motorcycling, hiking, dancing and bicycling.
